About the event
Midwifery and nursing—professions rooted in the care and safeguarding of women and children—have increasingly put both staff and patients at risk by abandoning sex-based rights in favour of gender ideology. In settings where biological sex matters profoundly, such as pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal care, and intimate nursing, the refusal to acknowledge sex undermines informed consent, dignity, and safety. Female patients are being denied their right to request same-sex care, and staff who raise legitimate concerns about the impact of mixed-sex policies or the erasure of female language are being silenced or disciplined. This ideological shift endangers vulnerable women—especially those with histories of trauma—and compromises the ability of professionals to deliver safe, honest, and compassionate care grounded in biological reality.
At Let Women Speak we foster a community in which all women feel empowered to speak. We achieve this through our free speech events, they are free to attend. We are so proud that women across the world are using the #LetWomenSpeak hashtag as a rallying cry.
All Let Women Speak events are held in outdoor public places. Places are chosen so that they are as accessible as possible and not far from public transport.
There are no tickets, anyone can turn up, and anyone can speak (but we ask that men wait until the end). You can speak about whatever you like, these are free speech events.
As always, it is completely free to come to our Let Women Speak events, and no one will ask to see a ticket! However, each UK event needs a £2000 security fund to make it possible, so if you would like to contribute something towards that you can enter any amount. Anything at all is appreciated, and all goes towards Letting Women Speak! If you cannot contribute, please select £0, as this will give us a rough idea of numbers. In the event of cancellation or postponement funds will be used for future events.
